TwoBucket vs Mobile Tech RX for mobile detailers

Mobile Tech RX fits auto reconditioning (PDR, tint, PPF) at $39 per admin. TwoBucket fits mobile detailers: a $20 booking page with requests and photos.

By J.S., founder of TwoBucket5 min read

Mobile Tech RX is built for auto reconditioning — paint-less dent repair, tint, PPF and detailing — with estimates and a card reader for in-person payments. TwoBucket is built only for mobile detailers who need a booking page where customers send their vehicle, its condition and photos, then get a quote and an invoice. If your work is mostly PDR or film, Mobile Tech RX is the more natural fit. If your work is mobile detailing and you want customers to request visits online, TwoBucket is the more direct tool, at $20 a month against $39 per admin.

We make TwoBucket. The Mobile Tech RX facts in this post come from its plans, scheduling and payments pages, checked November 3, 2026.

What Mobile Tech RX does that TwoBucket doesn’t

Mobile Tech RX is purpose-built for the reconditioning trades. It handles estimates for PDR, window tint, paint protection film and detailing, so a business that does several of those can write its estimates in one place.

It also offers a dedicated card reader with lower in-person processing rates (2.7% + 10¢) compared to its online rate. If you take payment at the vehicle or at a counter, you can use that reader and rate. On its Standard plan ($99 per admin a month), it also takes deposits on estimates.

Its iPhone app is rated 4.41★ from 205 ratings.

What TwoBucket does differently

TwoBucket gives every detailer a booking page at bookr.page/their-business that can sit in an Instagram bio, a Google Business Profile or on a website as an embedded page, a pop-up button, a floating button or a plain link.

When a customer visits the page, they pick their vehicle type from pictures (or enter make, model and year), choose the services and add-ons they want, describe the vehicle’s condition — pet hair, stains, odor, sand, heavy dirt, mold, food, grease — and attach photos and notes. They enter their address, pick a preferred date and one of the detailer’s time windows, and send the request. Nothing is booked until the detailer confirms. The customer needs no app and no account.

From that request, TwoBucket builds an estimate, quote or invoice with the services already priced. Each service can show a fixed price, a starting price, a range or no price, for each vehicle type. When every chosen service has a price, the customer sees an estimate before they send. Quotes are approved by the customer online, and invoices show a Pay button when the detailer connects Stripe or Square (US businesses). TwoBucket takes no fee on card payments; Stripe or Square charge their usual processing rates. Invoices can also be marked paid by cash, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, bank transfer or check.

Visits sync to Google Calendar, Outlook or iCloud. The customer gets a visit page with date, start time and length, an add-to-calendar link and a way to call or text. An automated reminder email goes out the day before, and a text goes out when the customer agreed to texts and has a US mobile number.

After a job, the detailer can send a review request by text or email. Reviews the detailer approves appear on the booking page, and customers can also post to Google. Rebooking reminder emails go out 1, 2, 3 or 6 months after the last visit. Before-and-after photos live on each job, a timer tracks time on the job, and Earnings shows jobs, average job, time on jobs, earnings per hour and tips, exportable as CSV.

TwoBucket starts with common detailing services and add-ons already set up. The detailer turns them on or off, edits them or writes their own. Setup takes a few questions — page address, how customers pick their vehicle, whether to show prices — and the services are filled in.

Mobile Tech RX and TwoBucket prices

Mobile Tech RX starts at $39 per admin per month, or $429 a year. It includes estimates and text alerts and is designed around reconditioning trades (PDR, tint, PPF, detailing). Its card processing runs through Stripe at 2.9% + 30¢ online, 2.7% + 10¢ on its card reader and 3.5% + 30¢ keyed in. It does not advertise an online booking or request form for customers.

TwoBucket is $20 a month (or $15.97 a month billed yearly at $191.64). That single plan includes the booking page, quotes, invoices, card payments through the detailer’s own Stripe or Square account (US businesses, no TwoBucket fee), visit scheduling with reminders, rebooking emails, review requests, marketing materials and the iPhone and Android app. There is no setup fee and no per-user charge. The 7-day trial needs no card.

For a solo mobile detailer, TwoBucket costs $19 less per month than Mobile Tech RX and includes a customer-facing booking page that Mobile Tech RX does not advertise.

Questions

Is TwoBucket a good Mobile Tech RX alternative for a mobile detailer?

Yes, if your work is mobile detailing and you want customers to send requests with their vehicle details, condition and photos online. TwoBucket is built only for mobile detailers and costs $20 a month with quotes, invoices, card payments (US businesses) and scheduling included. If you also do PDR, tint or PPF and want estimates for those trades, Mobile Tech RX is the better fit.

Can customers book themselves through Mobile Tech RX?

Mobile Tech RX’s own scheduling FAQ says online self-booking is not available yet. TwoBucket lets customers send a request from a booking page, but the detailer must confirm before anything is booked.

Does TwoBucket charge a fee on card payments?

No. US businesses connect their own Stripe or Square account. Stripe or Square charge their usual processing rates, and TwoBucket adds nothing on top.

Can I try both tools before paying?

Yes. Mobile Tech RX offers a 5-day trial with no card required. TwoBucket offers a 7-day trial with no card required.
