The best alternative depends on why you are looking. If DETAILERMADE’s Choice plan at $99 a month is more than you want to pay for estimate requests with vehicle condition and photos, TwoBucket includes that for $20 a month. If you want a marketplace where customers find detailers, Detail Connect is the one to look at. If you need a general-purpose booking tool with a free tier, Square Appointments is worth considering.
We make TwoBucket, and it is on this list. All facts come from each company’s own pages, checked November 3, 2026.
Why mobile detailers look past DETAILERMADE
One reason is cost. DETAILERMADE’s Essential plan is $19 a month and lets customers book an available time slot and pay by card. To get estimate requests where customers describe their vehicle’s condition (pet hair, stains) and attach photos, you need the Choice plan at $99 a month. For a solo operator or a two-van shop, that is a meaningful jump.
DETAILERMADE is US only, so detailers outside the United States cannot use it. Card payments run 2.99% plus 30¢ per transaction, with an additional 30¢ per payout.
When DETAILERMADE is still the right choice
DETAILERMADE is built specifically for detailers and includes crew tools such as payroll and quality checks. If you run a larger crew-based operation in the US and you use those features daily, the Choice or Exclusive plans may be worth the price. The 7-day trial requires no card, so it costs nothing to find out.

The alternatives
TwoBucket
TwoBucket is booking and quote software built only for mobile detailers, solo or small teams, at one price: $20 a month, or $15.97 a month billed yearly. Customers visit your booking page, pick services and vehicle type, describe the vehicle’s condition (pet hair, stains, odor, sand, heavy dirt, mold, food, grease), attach photos and notes, choose a preferred date and time window, and send a request. Nothing is booked until you confirm. The editor builds estimates, quotes the customer approves online, and invoices, starting from the services and prices in the request. Card payments are for US businesses that connect their own Stripe or Square account; TwoBucket adds no fee on top of Stripe’s or Square’s usual processing fees. There are no deposits, crew logins or instant time-slot booking. The 7-day trial needs no card.
Good for: A solo detailer or small team that wants vehicle condition, photos, and a full quote workflow at a low flat price, and does not need instant booking or deposits.
More in TwoBucket vs DETAILERMADE
Detail Connect
Detail Connect is made for mobile detailers and includes a marketplace where customers can find you. It costs $43 a month, bought in the app, with additional text messages available from $4.99 per 100. Customers book a time instantly with their vehicle details, and travel fees are calculated by distance. Detail Connect does not advertise condition questions or photos with the booking request. In-app payments are listed as coming soon; today, payments are handled outside the app. There is a 7-day trial and the iPhone app has a 4.89-star rating from 1,055 ratings.
Good for: A detailer who wants a built-in marketplace to reach new customers and is comfortable handling payments outside the app for now.
ServiceLink
ServiceLink is made for mobile detailers and has one of the lowest entry points on this list: free for your first five appointments, then $20 a month for Pro. It includes time-slot booking, deposits, built-in payments with Tap to Pay, and quotes. It does not advertise vehicle condition or photos with the booking. The iPhone app has a 4.74-star rating from 38 ratings.
Good for: A detailer who wants deposits and built-in payments at a low price and does not need customers to describe their vehicle’s condition or send photos upfront.
Urable
Urable is made for automotive shops that do detailing, PPF, tint, and coatings, so it covers more ground than a detailing-only tool. Pricing is per location: Express at $70 a month, Pro at $120 a month, and Enterprise at $220 a month on monthly billing. All plans include VIN scan and photo inspections. Online booking, custom lead forms and deposits start on Pro, along with CARFAX. Urable has its own payments or works with Stripe or Square. Its terms of service set a 12-month initial term unless the order form says otherwise, which is worth reading before you sign up. The iPhone app has a 4.81-star rating from 277 ratings.
Good for: A shop or multi-service operator doing PPF, tint, or coatings alongside detailing, especially one that wants VIN scanning and CARFAX, and is comfortable with a higher monthly cost and a 12-month initial term.
Square Appointments
Square Appointments is not built for detailers. It is booking software for appointment businesses like salons. Customers pick a time slot and can book with a deposit or full payment, even on the free plan. Online card rates are 3.3% plus 30¢ on Free or 2.9% plus 30¢ on Plus ($49 a month per location). There are no vehicle-specific fields, but Plus and Premium allow up to five custom booking questions. Google Calendar sync and no-show fees start on Plus. The iPhone app has a 4.9-star rating from about 195,000 ratings.
Good for: A detailer who wants a free or low-cost booking tool with deposits and online card payments, and is fine without vehicle-specific fields or condition questions built in.
Questions
What is the best DETAILERMADE alternative for a mobile detailer?
It depends on what matters most. If you want vehicle condition and photos with every request at a low monthly cost, TwoBucket fits at $20 a month. If you want a marketplace to find new customers, Detail Connect has one. If you need deposits and built-in payments starting from a free plan, ServiceLink or Square Appointments are worth looking at. If you run a multi-service shop doing PPF or tint alongside detailing, Urable covers that range. There is no single best answer for everyone.
Can I switch from DETAILERMADE without losing my customer list?
That depends on the tools involved. TwoBucket lets you export customers, requests, quotes, and invoices as CSV, and builds your customer list from incoming requests. Check whether DETAILERMADE lets you export your data before canceling, and ask the new tool’s support team how to bring it in.
Is TwoBucket’s request-based booking a problem compared to instant time-slot booking?
It depends on how you work. A request lets you see the vehicle’s condition, look at photos, and price the job before anything is confirmed. If your business depends on customers booking and paying instantly without your involvement, instant time-slot booking from DETAILERMADE’s Essential plan, Detail Connect, ServiceLink, or Square Appointments may suit you better.
